Beautification
If you know a family member, friend, or neighbor who has faced Alzheimer’s or dementia — or if you simply care about supporting the people and families who are living through it — this is a project for you. By serving, you’ll not only encourage thousands of walkers who are raising awareness and funds for the cause, but you’ll also have the opportunity to connect with other WestGate families who care deeply about making a difference.
Established in 1852, Almaden Winery was California's oldest winery and now serves as a cherished public park in San Jose. As a volunteer, you'll engage in landscaping, litter removal, and general beautification, which will benefit the neighborhood and our city. Join us as we partner with the community to preserve the beauty and historical essence of this public space in the Almaden area.

San Jose PAL provides youth with access to sports, mentorship, and life skills—building positive relationships between police officers and the community. Their stadium is a hub for local kids to grow in discipline, confidence, and connection. Volunteers will help replace aging ramps and taekwondo mats, as well as beautify and refresh the space. By investing in this program, we’re investing in the future of our local youth and strengthening bridges of trust in our city. Come serve along with community members for the good of all.

Construction
Bowers Elementary is a diverse public school in the Santa Clara Unified School District, serving many families from low to moderate-income backgrounds. Its on-campus garden is a valuable space for student learning and exploration, but it needs better accessibility and care. As a volunteer, you'll help install new garden pathways and assist with beautification efforts—enhancing the space for outdoor learning, reflection, and play. Join us in blessing the students and staff with a refreshed, functional, and welcoming environment.
