Hope Horizons EPA Landscaping

Hope Horizon EPA is a community youth development organization that equips youth in East Palo Alto to grow spiritually, gain life skills, and develop as leaders. They provide mentorship, academic support, and spiritual formation. As a volunteer, you can help us improve gathering spaces for students and staff. This year, we will be upgrading and re-landscaping the outdoor recreational areas and meeting spaces so that students can exercise, have fun, and flourish.

Reentry Resource Center Beautification

The Reentry Resource Center provides services and support to help currently and formerly incarcerated Santa Clara County residents create happy, healthy, and productive lives and to successfully re-establish themselves in the community. Come support this critical work by repairing the main courtyard and building new picnic tables for the San Jose facilities.

San Jose Police Department Community Offices Refresh

This Beautiful Day, join us as we roll up our sleeves and make some large upgrades to the San Jose Police Department Community Offices. This work will involve a variety of renovation projects in main common spaces, offices, conference rooms, kitchen, and bathroom areas. Help us to transform the facility into a welcoming, safe space that will bless both staff and community members.

CityTeam serves men experiencing homelessness, addiction, and poverty—offering hope, recovery, and restoration through Christ-centered care. Their San Jose campus is a place of healing, and this project will help them continue their mission with dignity. Volunteers will support with landscaping, painting, minor renovations, and courtyard enhancements. Your work
will help create a more welcoming and dignified space for the men who are in their recovery journey.

August Boeger Middle School

This project focuses on revitalizing the student quad and surrounding landscape at August Boeger Middle School—a space where students gather for breaks, lunch, and rally meetings. It’s the central, most used part of the campus. August Boeger Middle School serves a diverse student population, with approximately 75% of students coming from economically disadvantaged households. As a volunteer, you’ll help refresh the area through landscaping, painting and beautification efforts, creating a welcoming environment that encourages pride and positivity for students and staff. Join us as we partner with the school administration and families to transform their daily space into something beautiful and life-giving.

Baker Elementary

Baker Elementary

Baker Elementary is a Title 1 school in Moreland School District serving a community of students, many from low-income families. The school garden offers a space for outdoor learning, creativity, and connection —but it needs some love. As a volunteer, you’ll help clean up the garden, create a granite pathway, and haul in rock, gravel, and tan-bark to transform it into a welcoming and inspiring environment. This is a hands-on way to bless students, support their learning, and reflect God’s love through the care we provide, along with the school administration and families.

Recovery Cafe San Jose

Recovery Café San Jose is a healing community for people overcoming homelessness, addiction, and mental health challenges. It’s a sacred space where members find hope, purpose, and belonging through community and recovery programs like AA. Volunteers will help with deep cleaning: washing walls and floors; organizing an art room; assembling two shelving units; prepping meals to be frozen, and a bathroom renovation to refresh this campus. Your work will help create a clean, welcoming environment that reflects the dignity and value of every person who walks through the doors. Join us in supporting recovery through service.

San Jose P.A.L. Stadium Refresh

San Jose P.A.L. Stadium Refresh

San Jose PAL provides youth with access to sports, mentorship, and life skills—building positive relationships between police officers and the community. Their stadium is a hub for local kids to grow in discipline, confidence, and connection. Volunteers will help replace aging ramps and taekwondo mats, as well as beautify and refresh the space. By investing in this program, we’re investing in the future of our local youth and strengthening bridges of trust in our city. Come serve along with community members for the good of all.

Nimitz Elementary

Nimitz Elementary, part of the Sunnyvale School District, serves a diverse community of students. The school’s outdoor spaces are in need of fresh life and care. Volunteers will plant a garden, spread mulch, power wash key areas, and replace worn-out benches, creating an environment for teachers and staff to care for the students. This is a chance to invest in educators who are investing in the next generation of our community. Join us as we serve with the school administration and families.
